Fast Guitar Picking

“How Fast Can You Go?”

This is just a tiny part of the guitar lessons you will see on guitar picking and this is how you will be picking the guitar - at super fast speeds.

Below is the general approach on guitar picking to increase your speed and sound better while maintaining accuracy:

1. Use alternate picking.

2. Slow down and build up your speed until you are fast enough but can still pick accurately.

3. Go down about 1 or 2 bpm(beats per minute).

4. Using a metronome, practice at the slower speed until you can play for at least one minute with no mistakes. Do it 2 or 3 more times and then go on to the next step.

5. Once you are ready, increase your picking speed by 1 bpm.

6. Continue with steps 3 and 4.

Alternatively, learn from an expert who among other things teaches how to pick very fast in complete detail in his huge program.

But first, take a lot at this guy demonstrating good picking, tapping, bending, soloing, sliding, hammer-ons, pull-offs, use of scales, rhythm and too many more to list.  Practically everything we all want to learn that don't we? Rock On.
