More Reasons To Learn How To Read Guitar TABs - Guitar TABs vs Music Sheets
When I was a little boy wanting to be able to play the guitar like a rockstar I had no-one to teach me how to play the guitar but with guitar tabs this is not such a big problem.
The first book I got from the library used sheet music to teach the guitar with some diagrams (it was a book teaching how to play classical guitar.)
Heck, it didn’t teach me anything about playing the guitar even with the fancy diagrams because I was too confused and too lazy to learn sheet music.

Still not everyones knows about TABs and that there's a big difference between TABs and Sheet music.
TABs has its drawbacks too but the problem is easily fixed if you have a supplementary guide in the form of your music player of choice.

- Tabs don’t tell you how the song should sound like. You either need to know the song beforehand or have an audio reference.
- Tabs don’t provide accurate information on rhythm and timing of the song.
- Tabs don’t rhythmically distinguish between musical parts
Despite all the above, tabs are still the preferred method of learning especially among beginners. That’s because it’s so much easier and what tabs are not capable of doing can be compensated by having the audio version of the tab.
